CRM16 is Here!
As you’ll know by now, the upgrade of our CRM 2011 system to CRM 2016 went live at the beginning of this week. The upgrade has been months in the making, with James Drummond working tirelessly to get our new CRM up and running!
James has gone above and beyond to complete the upgrade in time and with as little disruption as possible, working extra hours and even organising calls to the US at 5am! He’s also spent hours training us all to make sure we’re up to speed as quickly as possible!
So, next time you see him, make sure you thank him for all his hard work!
So, to recap, what’s new in CRM 2016?
Business Process Flow
This is a new way to track progress through our sales pipeline. The Business Process Flow will provide better control over what data is going into the system at lead and opportunity stage. This will also give a good indication to our users of what they have left to complete in order to move a lead/opportunity forward through the pipeline.
Template Generation
In CRM 2016 we now have the ability to use Word and Excel Templates. This is similar to a mail merge - but much easier to use!
Quick Create
This new functionality with enable you to generate activities, leads or opportunities with only the minimum data required. This should speed up the process of adding new phone calls or appointments.
Dynamic Forms
The forms in CRM 2016 are more dynamic than they have ever been before, enabling us to generate forms that are more interactive and display data in different ways.
New Navigation Menu
The new layout means we lose the left hand side navigational pane and in its place we now have the ‘Hamburger Layout’, which is much easier and quicker to navigate to your required location.
Universal Search
This new feature allows you to search over multiple entities and then have the results returned to you based on relevance. This will be available to all enabled searchable fields making it even easier to find the information you are looking for.
